We're continuing in our series, "GIVE IT AWAY" - our text are Isaiah 9:6,7 & John 14:25-27 - & the topic is the peace of God that goes beyond understanding. It's a gift to us from Christ, & is something that we're able to not only have for ourselves, but to take with us, give to others, & share in all the circumstances of life we face.

As we enter into the holiday season, I've been thinking a lot about generosity and the essence of the "Christ-following life." At the core of our faith is a challenge that Christ issued to all who wanted to be His disciples. In a nutshell, He said: "If anyone wants to be my disciple, first, lay aside your selfish ambition; second, take up your cross daily; finally, follow Me." For the next several weeks, we'll be in a series, GIVE IT AWAY, that explores this in greater detail, & helps us see what it looks like to give our lives away.
