ACTS #4 - The Church Goes Active

About 120 disciples, men & women, gathered in an upper room, most likely located in/near the temple, for the purpose of waiting. This waiting wasn't without purpose - they were anticipating the Promise of the Father... & they were not disappointed. On the day of Pentecost (during the feast of the same name), they heard a sound like a rushing wind; saw what looked like tongues of fire resting upon each of them; & they all spoke in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them the ability.

And what were they saying? These men & women declared the mighty works of God in languages that were understood by Hebrews that had gathered from all over the known world - Mesopotamia. Cyrene. Libya. Egypt. Rome.

The Jewish sojourners from all over the world asked the same question: "What does this mean?"

That's what we're talking about today - our the text for today is Acts 2:1-41.
